KP (Kim Potter): OK [laugh], so I saw this guy at the gym, um, and he was a police officer. And, um, I thought he was real good looking and he was really sweet. And, um, he kept coming out and walking me out at the end of the night, whenever I worked at the gym until ten, and, um, I [laugh] decided I was going to ask him out. Um, and he kept telling me he was going to come in and then he never showed up. And, um, so two weeks went by and I was like, "OK that's it." I was like, "I'm not waiting around," 'cause I'd given him all these hints about, you know. He'd ask me to go riding on his motorcycle and stuff and, um, I kept saying I didn't like motorcycles, but I would go somewhere with him. And he wasn't getting the hint. So I finally decided that whenever he came in I was just going to ask him out 'cause he just was not getting any hints at all. So [laugh] I asked him out and we went to dinner. Um, on this, with this other couple. Um, we went to Planet Grille. And, um, and we went to dinner, and we had a really good time. Um, and then he went to drop me off and, um, we were outside, talking outside my house and stuff and, um, all of a sudden I just started feeling just really light-headed. I mean I don't know what was going on, but it was like I was starting to black out. I was starting to see circles and stuff, and all of a sudden I just remember like, starting to fall over and he grabbed me before I hit the pavement. And I was so embarrassed because he was a cop and I was like, "Oh God, he thinks I'm taking drugs." And I'm like, "Oh my gosh, he's going to think-, he's never going out with me again." Um, so he, you know, carries me back in the house and stuff because I'm pretty much falling on the concrete on my back. And, um, he carries me in the house and he stays with me a couple of hours and he kept asking, "Is this the first time this has ever happened to you? Does this happen to you all the time?" Blah, blah, blah. And he was asking me all these questions about, you know, he was acting like a cop pretty much. So I felt like I was being interrogated about passing out. Like I was on some kind of drugs or like I hadn't eaten or something, which is obvious that I do eat.
JH (Jennifer Huss): [Laugh].
KP: So [laugh], so, um, he eventually went home, um, and that was the end of that date. And then, um, we just started dating real serious. And, um, you know, we went to Carowinds the following weekend. I met his family like shortly after that and everything was going really good and, um, I liked his family, he liked my family kind of thing. And, um, we just had a really good time and he's just different from everybody else. So, um, about three weeks ago he proposed to me outside of a church. And he had one of his little cop buddies pull me over, um, and act like I was getting arrested for stealing something. Um, and had me get out of the car. It was pretty played up. I believed every bit of it. So, um, he comes walking out from the bushes and proposed to me. So it was really neat, um, that's it.
