The
NEW SOUTH VOICES project is the work of a dedicated corps of students. The following students have contributed to the project over the past three years by transcribing, editing, tagging, copying and digitizing the interviews: Adele Barnes, Breona Barr, Krystal Blanton, Robin Bouchez, Jessica Colopy, Christina Davis, Melinda Demarais, Mike Drum, Connie Forlidas, Ruth Faye Griffin, Russell Henderson, Abby Hillard, Brittany Johnson, Walter Knox, Rashmi Nayak, Misty Penry, Lisa Posner, Joanne Shand, and Laurie Wright.
The current database and application design and programming was done by
Stephen Westman (Digital Information Services Librarian, Library Systems who also serves the project's technical manager for programming and system support) with help from Allison Pittman (as part of her Computer Science Senior Project) and Jonathan Champ.
People who worked on previous versions of the application include Aditya Vashisht (Computer Science graduate student); Niraj Bista, Robin Brandt, Don Callahan, Kavita Desai, Carlton Hoover, Divyesh Jambusaria, Bryan Klimasewiski and Ronak Mehta (other students who assisted with the project as part of their CS Senior Projects); and Wade Dean and Brad Spry (Library Systems staff who provided system support).
